Seminars in Czech RepublicNov 25th, 2007
Master Meitatsu Yagi, Brad White and Steve Lyons had the honour of attending a seminar with our new Meibukan family in the Czech Republic.

Vaclav Simek (dojo sho), Drahomir Bilka, Jiri Matous and all the students of the Czech dojo made us feel right at home and very welcome. We enjoyed the pure water, fresh air and local food dishes. Between TV appearances, lunches with the town Mayor, castle tours and scenic drives, we also practiced karate. There will be another camp in the Czech Republic and for all who wish to attend, you will not regret it. The training is hard but the fun and comraderie outweighs all the aches and pains.

Master Yagi’s Visit 2007Nov 4th, 2007
Master Yagi has been home in Okinawa safe and sound for a couple weeks now. A very successful and productive visit which lasted a few weeks longer than we anticipated. Beginning with a trip to the Montreal Film Festival August 24/07 to view the screening of Kuro Obi. Master Yagi returned to Brantford to do some finishing work on his book. Finding some time available Master Yagi did some travelling to teach seminars. He was hosted by Brock Vickerson in PEI, Kim Marshall in Winnipeg, Bill Fournier in Kingston, Brian Thomas in Cambridge, Bob Toth in St Catherines, Steve Lyons in Glencoe, and did a week end of seminars in Brantford hosted by Ken Trebilcock. Master Yagi was also hosted by Vaclav Simek and Drahomir Bilka in the Czech Republic and was able to do some travelling with his wife Noriko after the seminars. Master Yagi shared his technical expertise in the application of Meibukan Gojyu-Ryu as well as stories from his past and some history. Venues were well attended and Master Yagi was very pleased to see so many new faces and of course all the regulars.
